Private Classes

 Our AR Builders class was designed  to take anyone familiar with the basics of Firearms and teach them the skills necessary to build a personalized AR type rifle from parts you picked out.

In our class you will first learn how to assemble and function and check your lower while learning how the safeties communicate with the internals. This is followed by headspace checking your barrel and bolt, then assembling the upper. Once your lower and upper are complete we will assemble the two along with oiling and one last function check of the firearm. After all that we will install optics and accessories as well as applying the correct torque settings.

The class ends on the philosophy of gun building and AR use.

Supplies:

We recommend you provide eye and ear protection.

ALL tools will be supplied by JPcustoms LLC but attendees WILL need a rifle to build. This can be done one of three ways. 

(1) Selecting Parts from our Builders Kit.

• This is the best option to end up with a quality rifle you are proud to show off and brag about how you built it yourself!

(2) Using your personal AR

• We disassemble your rifle and rebuild it with any of your desired upgrades
• Please note, some gas blocks, barrel, and castle nuts may be too tight to remove without damage and may need to be left on the firearm.
• Please note that while rare, this may mean some upgrades may not be installable.

(3) Selecting your own Parts.

• Some prefer to do all their own research and pick all their own parts out and because of the wide range of part manufacturers, we cant vet every company and guarantee fit and finish when building your own firearm. If you would like to book an extra appointment to have one on one time to go over every desired detailed and part we would be happy to accommodate.
